We sat down this week to chat with the sweet soul, Rebecca Beyer, about hedgecraft, Appalachian folk magic, and foraging and working with plants. Rebecca is also a tattoo artist whose work is an extension of her deep love of the stories of plants. She shares some of her favorite ways to use plants as well the kind of relationship she hopes we all might have with the natural world around us.
Rebecca is the author of Wild Witchcraft: Folk Herbalism, Garden Magic, and Foraging for Spells, Rituals, and Remedies, and the forthcoming book, Mountain Magic: Explore the Secrets of Old Time Witchcraft (out February 21, 2023, now available for pre-order!). She also teaches classes about hedgecraft and folk magic, which you can learn more about and sign up for via her website Blood and Spicebush, or follow her on Instagram @bloodandspicebush. To see her tattoo work, follow her dedicated tattoo page @the.blood.vvitch.
