In the summer of '96, the aliens decided to RSVP to Earth's party in a big way. Will Smith, the Fresh Prince of kick-assery, teams up with Jeff Goldblum, the maestro of intellectual eyebrow raises, to give those extraterrestrial invaders a taste of American freedom. With spaceships big enough to make the Death Star look like a golf cart, these aliens were clearly compensating for something. But fear not, because the good ol' US of A has a secret weapon: an Apple laptop that can hack into anything, including alien operating systems. From iconic one-liners to explosive dogfights, Independence Day delivers more fireworks than a Fourth of July celebration, reminding us all that the most patriotic thing you can do is punch an alien in the face. God bless America, and may the aliens never forget: we have Will Smith on our side.

This is the Overdue Homework Podcast we review and assign new 80's and 90's Movie, TV, or Video Game homework every episode

We assign S1 E 7 -12 of DBZ. That's DragonBall Z for the lay person.
