EMS like a lot of fast paced professions that have a high degree of responsibility some people get burned out. And that can happen to anyone seeing some of the calls that we see. I know for me personally, if someone mentions, what's the craziest call you had? There's a handful of scenes that automatically pop into my head.
What's not okay is providers who make fun of new people, don't remember how it was when they first started out or even worse bring their personal drama to their ambulance work. I have always been a big on separating work life from your personal life especially when working 911 EMS.
In this video, I breakdown a poll that some of my original students answered back in 2020 on what makes a great EMS partner. I can tell you from experience who you work with really makes or breaks EMS work, try out different shifts and try to find 3 to 5 partners that really enjoy working with it will serve you incredibly well.
Be great,
Evan, The Paramedic Coach
