There are so many issues facing this Philadelphia 76'ers team, especially when they play ball on the road. Is Brett Brown the real problem? Where's the leadership in the locker room? There are questions as to whether or not they'll even get out of the first-round of the playoffs. To get into some Sixers talk with us this week, Tom West from LibertyBallers.com and the Sixers Film Room joined us to break things down. It's a great interview for all you Sixers fans!
But first, we responded to some listener feedback from this past week: our ultimate Sixers team, what movies/tv shows we'd like to see re-made, and the mood of the Philly sports scene. (approx. 5:00)
From there, we discussed Brett Brown's leash, if and when he should be fired as head coach of the Sixers. (approx. 15:15)
Then we dove into some news that recently broke indicating that Eagles QB coach, Press Taylor, is getting a promotion, seemingly apparent that the Birds will not be hiring an offensive coordinator. (approx. 22:15)
We also discussed some Phillies news and notes from this past week: Roy Halladay's jersey being retired, and Logan Forsythe being signed to a minor-league deal. (approx. 27:05)
This week on the Highbrow Segment, we talked about new legislation being introduced in Pennsylvania that would make it illegal to harass sports officials and umpires. Do we agree with this kind of action in sports? (approx. 33:10)
On the Lowbrow Segment, we have yet another top-3 list: the most un-boo'able athletes in Philly sports history. (approx. 43:15)
What we're throwing down on the Table, is an in-depth interview with Tom West from Liberty Ballers. We first discussed Brett Brown's tenure as head coach of the Sixers, and when he may be fired from his position on the team. From there, we talked about the apparent lack of leadership in the locker room. Is Matisse Thybulle going through some rookie hiccups at the moment? Is Joel Embiid truly having a disappointing season when we look at his performance overall? We get into all of this and much more on the Table! (approx. 57:00)
