Today’s guest is Ed Conway – economics editor at Sky News – but also author of a fantastic book – Material World.
Material World explores in detail the 6 basic materials that the modern world needs to overcome all it’s problems. From feeding 7+ billion people, to building semiconductors and solving climate change. To do all of that, we are going to need MORE of these materials and not less, as some of the extreme fringe of society hope for.
Ed’s story is a rollicking ride from the depths of the deepest open-pit copper mine in the world, that can fit the Burj Khalifa, to blue-green lithium pools in Chile, the story is very well-researched and thoroughly entertaining.
