Winter's dreams are filled with regret and guilt at the death of Ryu, and fear that Queen Levana will soon discover she is still alive. Thorne, Iko, Scarlet, and Winter must make a plan to rescue Cinder, Wolf and Cress from Artemesia. While the crew suggests various options, Winter has a surprising idea of her own, one that is unwelcome by the group.
Meanwhile in Artemesia, true to his word Kenney warns Jacin that Winter may be discovered. Jacin and Cress must decide, is it time to face the wrath of Levana, or time to leave the palace?
