In this episode, Steve walks you through the process of taking a long form YouTube video, and generating a bunch of short form videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Tiktok.
If you're overwhelmed by trying to constantly create a catalogue of short form videos, then this podcast is for you! One piece of advice I heard from Rory Vaden of the Brand Builder's Group was to record long form video, and then break it into short form content.
The best tool I've found is Opus Clips (full transparency: I do not have any affiliation with this company or any of the companies recommended in this episode). With Opus Clips, you are able to take one of your YouTube videos (or upload it manually) and you will generate a number of different short form clips. You can even control the length of these clips.
The best part is, this platform does all the editing for you! It cuts the video to length, adds captions, and also allows you to manually edit each clips if there is something the program took out that you wanted to include.
