We dedicate this episode to Dix Denny who passed away on 03/12/2023.
The Weirdos formed in 1977 in Los Angeles, California, and are considered one of the pioneering bands of the punk rock movement. In this episode we talk to Cliff Roman, original bass player for the Weirdos about his early influences, how he helped start the band and crazy adventures throughout their history. He also discusses when he left the group during the early 1980s, what kept him occupied and his return to punk rock.

The original lineup of The Weirdos consisted of John Denney (vocals), Dix Denney (guitar) and Cliff Roman (bass), and Nickey "Beat" Alexander (drums). They gained popularity by performing at legendary punk rock venues like The Masque and the Whisky a Go Go. The Weirdos' music is characterized by its fast, energetic sound and sarcastic lyrics. They released their first single, "We Got the Neutron Bomb," in 1977, followed by their debut album, "Weird World," in 1981.
