In this episode we talk to Keith Morris and Edward Colver, two influential figures in the punk rock scene of the late 1970s and 1980s. We begin by talking about when they first met and some of the iconic punk shows they went to during the late 1970s. Their backgrounds, contributions to punk rock culture, and their impact on the DIY ethos of the punk movement are highlighted. In addition, the episode delves into Keith Morris' early years, including his role as one of the founding members and lead vocalist of Black Flag, a pioneering hardcore punk band from Southern California. His distinct vocal style, contributions to Black Flag's early songs, and his subsequent formation of Circle Jerks are highlighted topics we cover.
