My cousin Gina Brissenden is a retired astronomy educator, leather tooler, mosaic artist, accomplished baker and cook, and an amazing creative who has spent over a decade building an incredible oasis on 900 square feet of desert in the middle of Tucson that she calls, her back yard.

In this first of a two part episode, we will weave through how her garden started, her inspirations and mentors, lighting and much more as she goes against Kipling’s assertion, that "Gardens aren't made by singing, “Oh, how beautiful” and sitting in the shade" because that is exactly how she created hers.

I also begin by talking about my progress on my Keto diet and some observations as a former NESTA-certified Fitness Nutrition Coach.

This is just my personal experience during week one of a new diet. Always consult a medical professional before beginning any dietary or other lifestyle change.
