This week, we can’t trust anyone as we discuss two adaptations of ‘The Thing’ – John Carpenter’s 1982 masterpiece, and the CGI-heavy 2011 prequel.
The episode kicks off with a quick chat about why people shouldn’t be too hard on directors (0:07), before we get into arguably the best horror film of all time, John Carpenter’s The Thing (6:54).
Then, we discuss 2011’s The Thing prequel, starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead (1:00:34), which tried to pay homage to the 1982 version but ultimately came up short.
