I had the pleasure talking with the author of the children's classic films book "Movies Are Magic" and the host of Classic Films For Kids, Jennifer Churchill, about the importance of preserving and honoring classic films, and much more.

Jennifer Churchill is the host of the series “Classic Films For Kids” on The Film Detective channel. Jennifer Churchill’s groundbreaking, wildly popular children's book “Movies Are Magic” about the history of film was written in partnership with Turner Classic Movies in 2018 and released in an updated edition in 2022. Her new book, called “Movies Are Magic: The Director’s Cut,” was released in partnership with The Film Detective, a Cinedigm channel streaming on Sling TV, Pluto TV, YouTube, and more. Jennifer believes that movies connect us to the past and help us understand history, the world around us, and ourselves. A resident of Sonoma, California, Jennifer loves bringing classic movies to life for kids of all ages. You can buy her book at Readers’ Books in Sonoma, Larry Edmunds Bookshop in Hollywood, or online at Amazon.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to listen to the episode and please remember that the opinions expressed on this show are just that, opinions. If you enjoyed what you heard, I still believe word of mouth is the best way to help, so please tell somebody, but liking, subscribing, and sharing help too. This show is an extension of TheSheist.com and if you’d like to be a guest on the show or have something to tell me, you can contact me at info@thesheist.com or at Sheist Podcast on Twitter. And as usual, be well, stay safe, and have fun no matter where you get your movies!
