We make an average of 35,000 decisions everyday. It's no wonder, when it comes to making big or important decisions we can feel almost paralyzed at times. Even the small decisions can feel heavy.
Indecision can hold you back from so many things. What I've found from working with hundreds of moms is that the biggest hurdle to simplify is just making decisions.
Do I want to get rid of this? Will I need it in the future? Will my kids suffer if I take them out of some activities? Should I homeschool or send my kids to public school?
On top of the daily decisions we make, everything is constantly changing. Our kids keep growing. Jobs change. Stages of life change. The discipline that worked one day, no longer works the next.
In this episode of The Simple Home Podcast we'll talk about change, making decisions, and allowing for the unexpected. I'll tell you about some big changes coming up over the next couple months in my life, how I've landed on the decisions I've made, and what it means for this podcast.
I believe that true simplicity can only be achieved through decisiveness. The understanding of what you want and allowing yourself to go after it. If you want a clutter free home, make decisions quickly on what to keep and what to let go of. If you want to save money, be decisive about what you are willing to spend money on and what you are willing to give up. And so on and so on.
