You’re probably familiar with character types: the gritty detective, the hooker with the heart of gold, the angsty hero. Today, Sean talks about the pitfalls of character types. There’s a time and place for archetype characters; they serve specific functions. But resist the urge to use them too liberally, especially when it’s your main character. Typecast characters can easily be one dimensional.
