Manage episode 281019950 series 2837378
We're continuing our exploration of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) by exploring different types of stress, including toxic stress. Toxic stress is one of the primary ways we experience long term damage to our bodies as a result of adverse childhood experiences.
In this episode we discuss podcasts related to mental health. Here is a small selection of our favorites to get you started.
- Other People's Problems - Dr. Hilary McBride
- Therapy for Black Girls - Dr. Joy Harden Bradford
- The Hilarious World of Depression - John Moe
- Latinx Therapy - Adriana Alejandre, LMFT
We also reference The ACA at 10: How Has It Impacted Mental Health Care? study, which examines the differences the Affordable Care Act made to mental health care in the US over the last 10 years.
