Within this episode I had the chance to speak with Chris Faranetta the Vice President & Co-Founder of NearStar Fusion a nuclear fusion energy company located in Chantilly, Virginia. Chris Faranetta has a great deal of knowledge and experience within the aerospace and clean tech industry most directly focused on commercializing deep technology, and for the last decade he has now been focused on the business development within plasma technology. Before co-founding NearStar Fusion he was an employee for the Rocket Space Corporation Energia (RCS Energia), within his role he coordinated international commercial & governmental space cooperation efforts. Additionally, Chris served as Vice President of Orbital Spaceflight for Space Adventures LTD where he sold and managed private crewed missions on Soyuz spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS). On this podcast Chris Faranetta and I had the chance to talk about NearStar Fusion's new pulsed approach to creating fusion energy called Hypervelocity Gradient Field Fusion (HGFF). We talked about its simplicity and ability to be used for not just supplying energy for the world but also being used as an engine to promote faster space exploration. Lastly, we talked about further space exploration within the solar system, the possibility of facing other intelligent life, finding aquatic life within our solar system, and other thought provoking questions from my curiosity tour.
