If you’ve ever been an overachiever or know one, you will know there is a lot of energy behind this. It’s a real driving force, and burnout often comes hand in hand. So, today’s episode of The Soul Frequency is one you won’t want to miss. This conversation is about reframing how we are approaching life and how to live a little more gently.

Who better to hear from than the powerful Dr. Eric Recker? Dr. Recker is a dentist, husband, father, and keynote speaker. He is an elite success coach, author, pilot, mountain climber, and recovering triathlete. In the second half of life, Dr. Recker is committed to helping people become the best version of themselves, so I can’t wait to share this conversation with you.

We start by discussing what leads to overachieving, and the external praise we receive when we push ourselves to the limits. We then discuss Dr. Racker’s experience of burnout and what led him into his current work. Finally, we discuss how we are filled with a false sense of urgency, forcing us to be chronically empty before we discuss how to overcome this.

“If we just put one foot in front of the other, we will get 1% better at every aspect of our lives – our relationships, our work, at our quiet and still time. If we do this each day, we will climb mountains, but we won’t do it so fast we get burned out.”
