Today, professional sports leagues are focused on holding their players accountable more than ever. As such large media platforms, it’s their duty to create rules of conduct and keep athletes in check. But what happens when false allegations come into play - turning athletes into social pariahs and, in essence, destroying their careers? So while organizations are maintaining policies to protect society from athletes, Kenneth asks: what’s in place to protect athletes from society?

KEY POINTS:

  • Are athletes guilty until proven innocent?
  • Is it possible to come back after a false allegation?
  • Why aren’t we giving athletes the benefit of the doubt?

QUOTABLES:

“Many athletes fall victim to personal attacks and false allegations. I say it all the time: you breathe wrong, you can get accused of things of this nature.” - Kenneth “Tiberius” Clark
