This past weekend, the Red Hills International Horse Trials hosted top equestrian riders from around the world. One of those riders is my guest today. Alexandra Knowles finished second in the prestigious CIC 3* division. Alexandra “Allie” Knowles has quickly established herself as one of America’s most promising young Three-Day Event riders. As a Pony Club “A” graduate and level 3 ICP certified trainer with a tremendous work ethic and competitive edge, Allie has gained the attention of her peers and the U.S. team selection Committee in recent years. She continues to earn numerous wins and titles, with the goal of representing her country at the Olympic Games. Allie’s love of horses, dedicated attitude, passion for the sport of Eventing and strong fundamentals, make her the choice of many owners and riders, for her training and coaching services. Allie was named the recipient of the Rebecca Broussard International Travel Grant winning $10,000 for the 2012 season to pursuit her international competition goals. In 2013, Allie added a number of wins to her record and competed at the Rolex Kentucky 4* event for the first time, being the highest placing american after the dressage phase of competition. Some of her other career highlights include being named to the 2011 Developing rider list, and having two horses short listed for the Pan American Games. Allie looks towards the 2014 year with great excitement as she contest a variety of shows with a great group of horses. Allie's Website
