Chris from Tillicoultry asks the brothers if they apply the lessons they have learnt from bush crafting in their everyday lives? The guys discuss the various aspects of bushcraft that have found their way in here everyday lives and work.
Doncaster based Richard asks what they think of the range of survival products being put out on the market by Dave Canterbury of the Pathfinder school. Sean speaks of his experience this summer with the Pathfinder Bottle & Nesting Cup Set which he borrowed from a friend.
Listener Frank asks the brothers if you they of anyone who has taken an e course with Dave Canterburys Pathfinder School and are there any UK based bushcraft distance courses that are available. The guys discuss the various routes for learning that are available out there for free and what the advantage s are for following them rather paying for a devoted online course.Brian who lives in Bristol wants to learn walking and navigation skills but he has a restrictive budget and asks how he do get this without have to spend on attending a course. Sean suggests that he reach out to his local walking or rambler groups. These groups are a wealth of outdoor knowledge and are often overlooked when people are looking to learn skills such as map reading.
The guys talk about the recent BBC video and discussion about the topic of prepping and how it gave an unfair perspective on the activity and how reporting like this can damage both the bushcraft and prepping communities.
