The 74th show sees Sy back on his feet after a short bout of man-flu and, together with Sean, he catches up with questions that have been sent in recently by listeners.
Mark from Kirkcudbright asks if winter lined trousers are a good investment or is layering up a better idea? Sean talks about his approach to winter clothing for heading out on the hills and Sy suggests some kit he used while serving in the Royal Air Force.
Whitehaven-based Alan has started to relearn the bushcraft skills he learnt has a kids and he has had a lot of problems in buying reasonably priced and good quality fire strikers and asks the brothers for some advice on what he should be looking for. The guys suggest some things to look out for and talk about what they personally carry with them in to the wilds.
Rob from Hull enjoys listening the podcast and it has encouraged him to get out camping this past summer and to brush up on the skills he learnt as a Scout. He asks the guys if they have any plans to do a video interviews with bushcraft experts and instructors. Sean and Sy discuss the idea.
Adam from Wolverhampton would like to warn us about some counterfeit kit he recently bought from Amazon. The kit is question is claiming to be produced by The North Face and Adam offers some advice on identifying genuine and fake kit.
