This week's episode of The Sunday Shakeout takes a laid-back approach as we dive into a review of my summer training during my freshman year of cross-country. Rather than a typical training tutorial, I aim to provide you with insights into the real-world challenges and successes of my running journey. I want to showcase the runner side of me, giving you a peek behind the scenes.

In this episode, I'll cover:

  • Reflection on the last 12 months, including insights into dealing with injuries and illnesses.
  • Valuable lessons learned from my experiences.
  • Current training strategies and what's working for me right now.
  • Future goals and what I'm gearing up for in the coming months.

I also want to express my gratitude to Rene, a dear friend and a significant supporter of both my running and this podcast. Rene, an accomplished Masters' athlete, has been a constant source of encouragement from Nashville, Tennessee. She recently gifted me a stylish Nashville running T-shirt and the Strength Running Performance Training Journal. While I'm not sponsored by Strength Running, I'm genuinely impressed with this journal's structure and organization. Stay tuned for a full review in the upcoming weeks.

A special thanks to all my listeners for their unwavering support. You keep the lights on week after week, inspiring me to continue talking about running and supporting our fantastic running community. Thanks to all who tune in to The Sunday Shakeout!
