Lezak's Insane Relay Leg: How Did He Pull It Off?

"What about the Americans? We're going to smash them. That's who we came here for."

Do you remember the 2008 Olympics men's 4x100 Freestyle relay event?

I remember watching this race. I was in awe. Speechless.

This was the summer before I flew out to Florida from Gothenburg for freshmen year of swimming alongside Ryan Lochte’s father coach Steve.

This feels all too familiar for many swimmers and coaches.

If you can relate, you will enjoy this episode of The Swimmer Strength Podcast: Olympic Special.

I am sharing my explanation of "what happened physiologically the last 25 between Alain Bernard and Jason Lezak?"

What do you think? Can you put down, in as simple terms, what happened that last 25m?

Additionally, I discuss:

  • Upcoming episodes for the season.
  • Our upcoming events THIS week.
