5 words that you probably say that gets in the way of your progress.

"I'll just do it myself".

We hear it more times than is healthy. And, as leaders, you’re likely committed to getting it ‘right’, but aren’t convinced others on your team can do as good a job as you. Putting it bluntly, you welcome mistakes, but small ones that can be cleaned up immediately.

You most certainly don’t want to be interpreted as a leader who’s above doing the ‘work,’ so your knee-jerk reaction is to get in the trenches with others, even though you can do it with your eyes closed.

But here's the thing, if you want more time in your day, or better yet, spaciousness, look at how you’re showing up in relation to your people and projects.

The most effective leaders are willing to ask for help. They’re not afraid to look like they don’t have all the answers, and they aren’t playing a game of perfection.
