What is up with the absolute state of punditry these days? Between pundits not knowing their facts, politics getting in the way of real analysis and cushy commentators happy to hear the sound of their own voice, how do we fix the problem of punditry? 13 time FA Cup Champions Arsenal are out of this year’s edition of the cup. A 3-1 defeat to 12 time Champions Manchester United, who continue their winning run After an arduous, 4 month-long process, we’ve got our League Cup final. Reigning champions Manchester City take on Chelsea Thierry Henry’s short-lived reign as Monaco manager has come to an end after only 104 days. Naturally enough, he’s been replaced by the man he replaced… And finally, it would be remiss of us if we did not mention the tragic story of Cardiff City’s new signing Emiliano Sala disappearing on Monday evening. We would like to share our sympathies to the families of those affected and hope that something good comes out of this awful story. Between crucial league and cup defeats, multiple injuries to key players and rife speculation about the future of the club’s manager and its stadium, it really has been the kind of month for Tottenham where South Korea losing to Qatar is the best news fans have heard all month. After taking the weekend off, the Premier League returns with some mid-week action. Tuesday night: Arsenal vs. Cardiff City Man United vs. Burnley Newcastle United vs. Man City Wednesday: Bournemouth vs. Chelsea Liverpool vs. Leicester City Tottenham vs. Watford Contact us: @thetfpod on Twitter and @totalfootballpod on Instagram or email us at theTFpod@gmail.com Remember to rate/review the show on your podcast provider of choice and do tell friends and family about the show.
