We will also be looking at the First Avatar and its legacy 13 years on, as well as the origins of Avatar, How did Cameron come up with the concept?, What were some of the biggest inspirations? and the decades long challenges faced trying to get his ambitious project off the ground and backed by the studios, The painful wait for movie technology to catch up to his vision and a rather large distraction in the form of a ship.

We will then take a deep and detailed dive into the history of Motion Capture, from its humble and surprising origins in 1915, to the pioneering films and their characters that kick started a visual effects revolution and the artist that brought them to life on the big screen as well as a look into the Uncanny Valley.
