What would happen if someone was given a ton of money and free reign to create a show that was conceived in the brain of Jim Henson?
Well you don't have to wonder because it was created. A sitcom full of animatronic masses of latex and silicone, a catchphrase machine in the form of a baby megalosaurus, and gallons of anti-fungal cream for the actors inside those suits graced the TGIF lineup in the early 90's.
This "historic" show used a combination of expert puppetry and satire to become a forward-thinking sitcom that tackled everyday family issues through the lens of anthropomorphic dinosaurs.
