Aesthetics: Glass bottles 5. Tradition and Perception: 6. Recyclability: However, it’s worth noting that while glass is the most common material for wine bottles, there are other packaging options available, such as bag-in-box, Tetra Paks, and even cans. These alternatives can offer convenience, cost savings, and reduced environmental impact, but they may not provide the same level of protection and aging potential as glass bottles for certain types of wines intended for long-term cellaring.
