To contemporary audiences, Dhirendra might be best known as Imran, Sabi’s father on the groundbreaking and big-hearted CBC and HBO Max comedy Sort Of. Sort Of is one of the few series in the history of television with a gender fluid protagonist: Sabi Mehboob, played with courage and conviction by series creator Bilal Baig. Imran arrives from Dubai at the beginning of the second season to quote-unquote fix Sabi.
