Send us a text This particular podcast has been a long time coming! It is something very close to our heart and a topic that runs rampant throughout Christianity . With the promise of setting people free, the prosperity gospel and other teachings we touch on in this podcast does the complete opposite . We understand how passionate people can be about this topic and how divisive of a topic it can be however the Bible is very clear on marking and calling out false doctrine, out of love for the brethren. So this is what we are doing, we had a very close, uncomfortable and upsetting call with this theology and saw the devastating effect it can have on the lives of people desperate for breakthrough. Years ago, as a young and somewhat naive pastor, I allowed one of these teachers to speak at the church and I sometimes feel the weight of this, and for that I whole heartedly repent. And the reason we were on intentional on this is because One of the things I’ve learnt over the years of being a Christian and especially when in ministry is to rest before you burn out. Simple but difficult. Burnout is one of those topics that not many people don’t like to admit but loads of people or go through. we hope and pray that this episode was up building for you, helpful and above all does it job to point you towards Jesus who is our all in all. Send us a text When the CHURCH becomes a Circus: So it seems that has been more wild antics at gatherings of Christians and this time it was called out by Mark Driscoll. I don’t know too much about him and his ministry but however you feel on the nature of him calling it out In this episode we speak on a topic that is very close to my heart and it is an entertainment/theatrics within the church. And for those of you who know me you know that I am not one to speak on dreams, visions and things like that regularly but this particular dream directly relates to this topic and directly has shaped how I preached the gospel to people. I am certainly not saying that there is no place within the body of Christ to use your God but the moment it becomes a issue and not this issue of worship, when it becomes a boat them and not him, when it is about popularity and showmanship I’m not praise and worship we know we have a problem. Send us a text We were not going to speak on this topic as there’s been so many people weighing in on it however it is very close to our hearts and the bishop has responded after the attack. This episode we discuss the event that shook the world when Bishop Mari was attacked during his sermon by a Muslim attempting to take his life. As we mentioned in the video this is not to discuss his theology but more to discuss the reasons Christians will face persecutions troubles and even death for fall in Christ. When it comes to challenging ideologies and religions Our charge is simple, that many may come to know the love Grace and forgiveness as in Jesus Christ. when tensions arise (like they have now more than ever) it is important that we share the truth in love but often due to fear the truth is not shared. When we examine the claims of the holy books we must do so humbly, truthfully with a desire to know God. This is not an opportunity to bash on others but to discuss the truth, Jesus says all upon the Lord shall be saved a prayer that if you’re a Muslim and atheist or any other type of person that you would know the truth who is Jesus and when you know the truth who is Jesus he will set you free.
