In the past few years, DEI efforts in the U.S. have hit some setbacks. Political divides have deepened, with some states passing laws that limit conversations about race and gender, and the Supreme Court ruling against affirmative action in the workplace.

"I've been here before," says Cindy Owyoung, who has been at the forefront of DEI for over 20 years at organizations like GitHub, Charles Schwab, Robinhood, and most recently, Bill.com. Her book, "All Are Welcome: How to Build a Real Workplace Culture of Inclusion that Delivers Results," offers practical ways organizations can compete in today's world by becoming more inclusive.

In this episode, she and neurobiology expert Rajkumari Neogy speak openly about the latest challenges in DEI. They explore the power of community, how to create conditions for feedback, and small, tangible steps that everyone can take to foster belonging in organizations.
