Two movies titled Raw enter, only one will leave (with that title) as Herman “OmegaPrime” Davis, David Vitrano, and Robert Rau watch Eddie Murphy’s second stand up special — and a girl go from vegetarian to cannibal — to determine which movie should be called Raw.
Our first movie is the highest grossing theatrically released stand up special, in which Eddie Murphy bares his soul to an audience while saying the F-word 223 times. This movie has the benefit of being an established piece of entertainment, even if Herman fell asleep while watching it.
Our second movie comes from France and features a young lady blossoming into a full-grown cannibal. There’s enough gross moments that some people fainted at initial screenings of the movie. But not to worry, the actual eating of people is pretty pedestrian. It’s everything else that made us look away.
But will this new movie earn the right to dethrone Eddie Murphy? Listen if you dare.
