TCBOO-Podcast-logoTwo movies titled The Jungle enter, only one will leave (with that title) as Herman “OmegaPrime” Davis and Robert Rau watch a found-footage film about an endangered leopard — and a based-on-a-true-story movie starring an endangered Daniel Radcliffe — to determine which should be called The Jungle.

This suggestion comes to us from Sara Bostwick, who thought highly of the Daniel Radcliffe movie, and didn’t know there was another film with a similar title. That similar film follows a couple of guys traveling to an Indonesian jungle to find a leopard. Along the way, they find something is eating the leopards, and they stupidly go after that. Filled with tons of downtime and an OK payoff, the real issue with the title is the lack of dangerous terrain trying to kill them.

The second movie has that and then some, as Daniel Radcliffe plays a real-life guy who got stuck in the jungles of Bolivia for a month. This movie looks like it aged Radcliffe at least ten years, and did tons of gross stuff to his body. While this second movie has the benefit of a living land mass actively trying to snuff out the lead actor, Herman accidentally mentions a much better title.

Herman also nonchalantly mentions how he almost died when he was seven, so there was plenty of time devoted to that story.

This one’s gonna be a toughie, but is either movie good enough to call itself The Jungle? Listen if you dare.
