This time, we've come for Australia.

That's right, you asked and we answered. Olivia kicks off our new Heavy Hitter series with the systematic abuse and imprisonment of the Aboriginal Australian people. As is becoming tradition, we start in the 1800s and work our way into what is far too recent for comfort. We dive headfirst into the problem of systemic racism - its causes, its consequences, and worst of all the crippling apathy that surrounds it. And we get mad. Again.

Feat. an impassioned speech about vocations, skull measuring, and the unlikely belief that people are doing their best.

EDITOR CORRECTIONS:

50:18 - Brooke added that the words "Octoroon" and "Quadroon" were used to refer to mixed race children of black and white parents, but was not entirely clear; these phrases are and were highly racist words used to describe the children of often-times raped slaves and referred to the percentage African their blood was. It in no way is an acceptable term for the children of mixed race parents.

1:39:35 - Brooke said the word "ancestors" when she really meant "descendants." She is embarrassed.
