In this week's episode, we discuss over-simplification. We look into Western society's obsession with 'making life easier'. From food delivery startups to speedy boarding, we're obsessed with saving time. But do we even do anything significant with the time we've saved? As consumers with busy lives, we've become accustomed to things happening at the push of a button. We shy away from resistance. We want to do things with the least amount of difficulty. We are, after all, creatures of comfort. Yet, with all that time we've saved it seems as though we fill it with more consumption and not with creation. TV, films and social media seem to have taken over the time we've saved. Therefore we're still too busy to do the hard work - for ourselves, for others or for society.
