Guakia-Baba (Padre Nuestro / Our Father)

Thoughtful in The Dark

Guakia-Baba means "our Father", which in essence, is a prayer to our God. This one however, is in the language of my ancestors, the Caribbean Taino Indians who settled in the island of Puerto Rico. I wonder if you will feel as emotional as I did producing it. It is the best way to close this wonderful second season. I love you all! Thoughtful In The dark will return with its 3rd. season very, very soon!
Guakia-Baba significa "nuestro Padre" que en esencia, es una oración a nuestro Dios. Este sin embargo, está en el idioma de mis antepasados, los indios Taínos del Caribe que se establecieron en la isla de Puerto Rico. Me pregunto si te sentirás tan emocionado al escucharlo como yo al producirlo. Es la mejor forma de cerrar esta maravillosa segunda temporada. ¡Los quiero a todos un mundo! " Padre Nuestro" en Taíno / The Lord's Prayer in Taino: Guakia baba (nuestro Padre - our Father) turey toca (está en el cielo - who is in heaven) guami-ke-ni (Rey del mar y tierra - King of the ocean and the land) guami-caraya-guey (Rey del sol y luna - King of the sun and the moon) guariko guakia (ven a nosotros - come to us) tayno-ti (bueno, alto - great and high) bo-matun; (grande, generoso - grad and generous) busica-guakia; aje-cazabi; (danos hoy pan - give us our bread) juracan-na (espíritu malo, no - no bad spirits) maboya-ua (fantasma, no - no bad ghouls) Yukiyu-jan; (espíritu bueno, si - but a good Spirit) Diosa naborí, daca (de Dios criado soy - I am God's breed!)
