Luke 6:1-36: Love Your Enemies

Jesus heals a man on the Sabbath, which upsets and challenges the Pharisees. He then selects his twelve apostles and delivers the Sermon on the Plain, blessing the poor and hungry while warning the rich and satisfied against self-reliance. Jesus then calls for radical love urging those who would follow him to love their enemies, do good to those who hate them, bless those who curse them, and pray for those who mistreat them, encapsulating the Golden Rule: "Do to others as you would have them do to you."
