To celebrate 200 episodes, Northeast president Dr. Ricky G. Ford gives a significant update on everything happening at one of the premier community colleges in the United States - Northeast Mississippi Community College. Ford celebrates the 200th episode of the podcast that began on October 10, 2017, and has run for almost five years giving the employees and students all the information about Northeast and those in Booneville, Prentiss County and the surrounding area insight into what makes Northeast one of the best. Ford has a major announcement about the Northeast Mississippi Community College Family Healthcare Center that he talked about a few months ago and encourages listeners to stay tuned about the plans for the healthcare center. In addition to announcing the plans for the NEMCC Healthcare Center, Ford talks about how great it feels to see people back on campus again. With summer school enrollment high and camps happening every week, Ford enjoys being able to see people enjoying the Northeast campus again. Ford warns to be careful in the summer heat and announces that the Gaye Roden Carr Aquatic Center (the pool) has re-opened for the summer with swimming lessons in the mornings and open swimming from 1-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Ford discusses the fall 2022 enrollment trending up at the moment but wants a bigger enrollment push for the fall and keys on Orientation on June 16, June 23 and then, if necessary, July 12. Ford gives an update on the new employees that have been hired at the college with a multitude of people coming on board and announces that the college is still looking for instructors for the fall. Ford congratulates the Drafting, Design and 3-D Modeling program on a 100-percent placement rate for its students and a 100-percent pass rate on the AutoCAD National Certification. Ford talks about construction projects around campus and discusses that the Seth Pounds Auditorium project is still in the planning stages as organizers look at water seepage into the building. Ford announces a new Cyber Security Team for Northeast and encourages everyone to visit the Voices and Votes exhibit in the Anderson Hall Auditorium from June 28 through August 16.
