Northeast Mississippi Community College president Dr. Ricky G. Ford sits down with Marketing and Public Relations Specialist Liz Calvery and discusses plans for the college in the coming years. Ford discusses the addition of different sports in the next few years to Northeast, working to make Seth Pounds Auditorium a state-of-the-art facility, the addition of a new coliseum that will give the college two places to practice and play its sports, as well as giving the Showband from Tigerland a place to practice to escape the summer heat or inclement weather, in addition to helping all of the college's fine arts. The president also stresses the need for a full-scale Student Activities Building so that students have more options during their downtime in Booneville. Ford also talks about the return of Food with the First Lady, coming to screens this fall. To wrap up the time, Ford gives listeners the Northeast News and discusses upcoming events on the college's calendar.
