In the latest installment of Tigers on Tap, join lifelong Memphis Tiger fans, TJ Willis and Trey Lasley, as they discuss the latest news in Tiger athletics.

In the first segment, Trey and TJ discuss Tiger football and the big recruiting weekends that the Tigers have had over the past two weeks. Trey and TJ discuss the needs of the Tiger team for the 2023 class, and if they are happy with the group of kids that have committed to play for the Tigers.

The guys try to alleviate some of the noise in TigerNation about the lack of highly ranked players that have committed so far. TJ discusses how rankings in high school football recruiting services have notoriously been late to evaluate players and once they have committed to a team will more than likely receive a ratings bump. Trey and TJ share a firm belief that the overall ranking of the Tigers' 2023 recruiting class will be much higher than where it is currently ranked.

The guys then talk about the brand new turf that has been installed at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium over the past few weeks and how excited they are about the Tigers finally being able to play on a new field, instead of the dingy, old turf they have played on for quite a long time.

In the second segment, Trey and TJ change topics and discuss Tiger basketball, and all the news that has dropped over the past few weeks. Trey mentions the hiring of former Tulsa head coach, Frank Haith, as an assistant basketball coach. TJ and Trey are both extremely pleased with the hire and believe that the veteran leadership of a former rival head coach will only serve the Tigers well on both ends of the floor. Then the guys discuss the ongoing saga of "Where is Larry Brown?" They break down how important it will be to have Larry Brown around the team and how his multiple decades of experience can only serve Penny well. They end the discussion on the coaching staff by highlighting the hire of former Vanderbilt assistant coach and Whitehaven High School head coach, Faragi Phillips. TJ and Trey share how they believe the Tiger staff is in a good place and believe this staff can really bring the best out of the players.

The guys end this segment talking about the roster and all of the new players that have committed to playing for the team. They go into detail on the games of Keonte Kennedy, Emmanuel Akot, and Kao. They share their thoughts on how these players will gell with the remaining members of the team and also with prized transfer portal signee Kendric Davis. TJ and Trey end the show discussing Johnathan Lawson and how they believe he will surprise Tiger fans with his skill level.
