The Torah is focused on the prohibition of idolatry. But for many today, we don’t feel an inclination to worship idols. In fact, the Talmud teach us that the evil inclination to worship idols was nullified through the prayers of the men of the Great Assembly.

If the Torah is our eternal guide, why is it so focused on an issue that feels irrelevant for many modern Jews? Do we have our own golden calves that we worship in our own lives?
