Real Life Joy (1 John 1:5-10; 2:1-6)
Children often say to parents and teachers when they are asked to try something new, “I don’t know how.” Jesus wants us to walk in fellowship with God and other Believers. All ages complain to God and ask Him, “How do I have real life fellowship?”

Real life revelation from God; God is Light, He is holy, His message is truthful, He is perfect in righteousness forever.

Real life fact: in God there is no darkness at all, no sin, no wickedness, no imperfections.

Real life self-checkup: If anyone says they have fellowship with God and yet walks in the darkness of sin, they are a fake, a liar, and do not practice the truth.

Real life truth: if anyone faithfully walks in the Light, that is, lives each and every day in conformity with the precepts of God, as He Himself is in the Light, they have true, unbroken fellowship with Believers. God is with them, and they are with Him. The best comforting news is the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses these from all sin.

Real life deception: if a anyone refuses to admit they are a sinner, they fool themselves and the truth is not in them. God’s Word does not live in their hearts.

Real life confession: if anyone freely admits that they have sinned and confess their sins, God is true to His own nature and promises, and will forgive them their sins and will cleanse them continually from everything they do that is not in conformity with His will and purposes.

Real life choices: Do not sin. If anyone sins, they have an Advocate who will intercede for them with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous One, Who conforms to the Father’s will in every way—purpose, thought, and action.

Real life salvation: Jesus is the propitiation for our sins [the atoning sacrifice that holds back the wrath of God that would otherwise be directed at us because of our sinful nature—our worldliness, our lifestyle]; and not for ours alone, but also for the sins of all believers found worldwide.

Real life obedience: True Believers will be focused on God’s precepts and obey His commandments. If the love of God is in anyone, they will conduct themselves in the way of Christ.

Are you in fellowship with God?
Is your real-life fellowship evident to those around you?
