Can life seem hazy, clouded by forces like oppression, envy, or arrogance? Has it ever left you feeling bewildered, disoriented, and perhaps a bit naive about it all? Today, Kelly is pulling back the curtain on these raw realities of life, with wisdom from Ecclesiastes 4 serving as our compass. We'll journey through the gloom of these issues and the injustice in various systems, only to find, at journey's end, God's wisdom and grace lighting our path.
Have you wrestled with envy, arrogance, or both? It's a complex battle, one that can fuel our motivations and decisions, and not always for the better. With insights from the bible from Solomon, we're going to expose the destructive nature of envy. Reflect on your own confrontations with envy or laziness. And amid a world of individualistic ambition and isolation, we'll celebrate the incredible value of companionship and community. We'll consider the life of Howard Hughes and learn why companionship trumps solitude and why living in community is more beautiful than you might think.
In our darkest moments, we find the greatest companion of all - Jesus Christ. He embraces us, lifts us, shields us. Nothing illustrates the truth that two are better than one more powerfully than our relationship with Jesus. In the spirit of companionship, we'll conclude our talk by sending up prayers for the disheartened, the isolated, and the faithful. May this sermon offer you comfort, perspective, and a refreshing dose of God's wisdom for your life journey.
