The Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF) exists to promote the breadth and diversity of comics and what is considered comics as a legitimate medium of literary and artistic worth. TCAF seeks to promote the creators of these works in their broad and diverse voices for the betterment of the medium of comics and to reach as broad an audience as possible for them. TCAF is held from May 11 to 12 at the Toronto Reference Library.

Based in Toronto, Eric Kim is a comics book artist and illustrator. He’s shared his years of illustrative wisdom by providing lectures in libraries and in schools. In addition to his freelance illustrative work, Eric has worked with many book publishers, including Oni Press, Wiley, and others. He’s currently writing and illustrating Dinosaurs from Outer Space for Owl Magazine with Wai Khan.

While at TCAF, Eric will be showcasing his new effort called Superzine among other recent works. Eric describes the black and white pocket-sized Superzine as his first personal anthology and a sum of a great deal of work including a variety of features with the themes of horror, romance, with a special surprise related to Tim Burton’s ‘Batman’.
