Welcome back to the Truly Myrtle Podcast! In Episode 74 I draw a prize for the glorious new Brushwork yarn from Blacker and share some ideas for bootie patterns to keep babies feet toasty.

KNITALONG

I'm thrilled to let you know about a new knitalong run by Holland Road Yarn Store in their Ravelry Group. Everyone is free to enter, all you have to do it knit a Truly Myrtle pattern! There are some amazing prizes up for grabs too :)

The knitalong has begun but you've got heaps of time to join in, it runs until early November.

See the Ravelry board for all the details and to take part.

WINNER!

I've drawn a winner for the Brushwork yarn - thank you everyone who entered! And, a huge thank you to Blacker for donating this gorgeous yarn :)

Did you win? Have a listen and, if it was you, congratulations! Let me know your details to I can get the yarn in the mail to you.

BOOTIES

I had a request for the bootie pattern that my mum Jude knits. I'll do my best to get Jude to write her pattern down :) but in the meantime, here are some similar (free) ones I've hunted out:

Pretty as a Rosebud - The booties are cute but I just love the bonnet and cardigan too!

Newborn Roll Brim Hat with Topknot - I prefer a bonnet or helmet to keep little heads warm but the booties look great and they're knitted in the round.

I chat in the podcast about how mum made simple changes to her booties to change the size, pattern and weight.

Have fun!

Happy knitting,

Libby xxx

p.s. The booties in my photo are tiny dolls booties that mum made for my girls. They're a teeny version of the regular babies booties she makes. See how how they go right up to the knees? Toasty :)

Also, as usual, my theme song is "Casting On" by Mr Roberelli.
