What's up everyone and welcome back to Trying 2 Parent! On this week's episode, we're excited to share that our pup Nina's skin is finally getting better, and we're getting ready to leave for our trip to Medellin, Colombia in just nine days, super excited for that!

But before we go, we wanted to catch up with you all on our latest adventures. We went to a beautiful cenote today and did some free diving which was amazing. We've also been eating tacos legit every night (and I ain't mad at it). Plus, our friends booked their flight to come see us in May, which we can't wait for!

In our highs and lows segment, we're celebrating a big milestone for our business with our first 10k week, which means we were able to make a big impact and help a lot of families. We're also excited for our friend Rae, who got her first promotion! And while our week was pretty solid overall, we're still dealing with our stupid internet issue.

In the news, we're discussing five messages from your tween that they want you to hear, which is a great reminder for all parents out there so definitely pay attention because they bring up some very interesting talking points. And for our Ask the Listeners segment, we want to know what age you think it's "okay" for your kids to start drinking responsibly.

For our Overseas Parenting segment, we're taking a look back at the extreme measures parents took in the 1940s to stop thumb-sucking, including a flammable nail polish made with capsicum and acetone! That shits wild.

And finally, in our I Love the 90s segment, we're testing Amanda's knowledge with some trivia questions. Do you know the infamous haircut inspired by a "Must See TV" sitcom? Or the first rap song to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100? Tune in to find out!

Last but certainly not least tune in to hear our discussion about our weekly episode of The Parent Test.

As always be sure to call in & leave us a voicemail or a sweet text with some advice or responses to the questions we ask and we'll be sure to play it on the podcast.
