Alasdair Macleod & Michael Oliver Return. Bill Pincus appears for the first time. Alasdair says that a return to a gold standard is the only way nations can contain the interest cost of servicing debt. The only alternative is inflationist policies that can only lead to far higher interest rates and currency destruction. He opines that the upcoming credit crisis is likely to kill off the welfare state model in the West by destroying their unbacked paper currencies, while China, Russia and their Asian allies have the means to prosper. What happens to the dollar if the U.S. opts to take the short term easy way out and how should investors respond? Michael will provide his usual prescient views of the markets we care most about and Bill Pincus will tell us of a world class gold-copper target that his company, Miramont Resources, is starting to drill with first assays due within weeks.
