Oscar fail month wraps with one burning question - is it easier to portray a modern famous person or one that has been dead for 130 years? Malek won for his Freddy Mercury , but mostly for his concert scenes. The film was more of a medley (meh-dley). Meanwhile, in "At Eternity's Gate", Dafoe submerged himself into one of the world's greatest artists on the edge of insanity.
