123. Love is Kind...Does What You Think, What You Say, and How You Act Help Your Marriage?
Manage episode 380834339 series 3258918
Kindness is an embodiment of selflessness, care, and compassion. It mirrors Jesus, who, out of overwhelming love, sacrificed His life for us, taking on our punishment. Does your life reflect this?
- Romans 2:4 "Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?"
Our kindness also extends to how we walk out forgiveness. WE ARE CALLED TO THIS!
- Ephesians 4:32 says, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
We also show kindness by what we say. What you think will lead into what you say to yourself, to your spouse, and to others. Are your words reflecting kindness? Do they uplift and benefit others.
- Ephesians 4:29 tells us, "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."
We challenge you to practice the pause and continue to develop your spiritual muscles so you can become more like Christ.
