Episode Notes

In this episode, we discuss themes of memory, courage, and the imagery of "the abyss" in Pixar's 2003 animated classic Finding Nemo. We also explore Nemo's search for an ideal father figure and Dory's role as the Shakespearean "wise fool." We conclude with discussing the interwoven ideas of luck, grace, providence, miracles, and how they manifest themselves in the film and in our own lives. Our Bible verse for this episode is 1 John 4:18: "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love." We hope you enjoy our discussion!

Thanks to Caleb Klomparens for our theme music, "No New Words" from the album Krypt. You can listen to more of his music here: https://soundcloud.com/kappamuse
